Thanks to all who showed interest in being on MTV when Korn comes to town.

Unfortunately, we had a limited number of spots so they went rather quickly. No need to worry though as everyone can tune into MTV on November 5th at 5pm and see the unveiling of the Kover Kontest as well as a lot of other cool stuff. Thanks again!

Hey Fukkers!

We got so many great submissions for the Kover Kontest! The response from you guys (over 25,000 pieces before the deadline) was completely overwhelming! Because Korn fans are so awesome, and we got so much PHAT art, we had to recognize more than just one person.

Out of the thousands we got there were hundreds of great designs, but four super-outstanding ones. Because we think it important to give props to all four of those people, we decided to make four covers. Not forever, just the beginning. After that the grand prize winner's cover will be the only one, and the other three will be inside. Sometimes it's hard to pick just one when there are so many cool ones, and this was one of the ways we wanted to show our love and respect for the great effort. We also took all of the entries that didn't win (but were still fuckin' phat) and are putting them up in our studio so that we can always be reminded of how awesome our fans are! Keep your eyes open, 'cause you may see yours on MTV or in photos we take there!!

You are all the best! Peace.

Look for rock's explosive KORN to premiere "Falling Away From Me"--the first single from their much-anticipated fourth album, ISSUES, due out November 16 on Immortal/Epic Records--on the first new episode of the fall season of television's most irreverent and controversial show, "South Park." Fans of both KORN and "South Park" will no doubt consider this to be a perfectly subversive match.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, October 27 at 10:00 PM ET/PT. That's when Comedy Central will air the hotly-tipped Halloween episode of "South Park" featuring KORN, who'll be animated by the show's creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and will be doing their own voices. Not only will "Falling Away From Me" make its grand debut on the show, the band--JONATHAN, MUNKY, HEAD, FIELDY, DAVID--will be a major part of the episode's storyline. Details about this are being kept hush-hush until the show airs, but one could only imagine what outrageous things will emerge from Trey Parker, Matt Stone and KORN.

Meanwhile, KORN were last seen showing up to play select dates on the in-progress "Family Values Tour" along with Limp Bizkit, Filter, The Crystal Method and Staind. This is the second annual outing for the tour that was master-minded by KORN, their management company The Firm and Metropolitan Entertainment. KORN--who weren't scheduled to be on the tour this year--first turned up October 5 in Grand Rapids, MI and are expected to be on the "Family Values Tour" through October 13.

Stay tuned for the full track listing of ISSUES and future KORN tour plans...

Jon's latest update

Hey fukkers!

We're in Atlanta right now, just finishing up the record with Brendan. It's so phat...I can't wait for you guys to hear it! If you haven't seen some of the interviews we've done lately, it's kind of a concept record coming from my life.

We'll be back in Cali soon, and there better be a shitload of Cover Contest entries for us to check out! We thought who better to design our next cover than the fans that know us the best! Right now it's scheduled to come out November 16th, and it could be your art starin' back at you from the bin!

Keep your eyes and ears open, and check the site all the time, 'cuz you never know what we're up to!

Peace!
Jonathan

Korn connntest, make art work to be the new album cover or write a bio on the band:

In conjunction with MTV, we're offering you the chance to design the cover of the new album. Additionally, we want you to write the biography that will go out to the press for the launch.

The winner of the artwork kontest will receive $10,000 cash and will be flown out to New York to appear on MTV's Total Request Live with the band. Yourself and a guest will be flown out and put up in New York and your artwork will become the CD cover for the life of production. There will also be an in-store autograph signing in your hometown that you will participate in!

In addition, we're also offering $2,500 to the winner of a kontest to write a new biography for the band.

The irreverently titled Family Values Tour - which "
certainly proved to be one of the rock spectacles of the year,"
noted the Los Angeles Times--is back. The brainchild of Korn,
their management company The Firm, and Metropolitan Entertainment,
it will launch year number two September 21 in Pittsburgh at the Pittsburgh
Civic Center, hitting approximately 30 cities until it concludes October 31 in Biloxi at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.

Korn is back in the studio working on the forth album. They
are working with a new producer named Brendon O' Brein. He has done work with Rage, Pearl Jam, STP, and a hole lot of other cool ass bands.
Things are going well, they have been in the studio for two weeks (6/16/99).
They have written eight song and they are fucking heavy. The songs remind the band of the first album.
The songs remind them of 80's bands so they named the songs after the bands.
Jon just started vocals today (7/7/99). They are setting a studio house up with 24/7 web cam so check it out!!

Every holiday season there's at least one film soundtrack that dwarfs all the others. Right now, the soundtrack to the Arnold Schwarzenegger film End of Days is the frontrunner for that role. Limp Bizkit, Korn, Orgy, Rob Zombie, Creed, Everlast and, yes, Guns n' Roses, are being wooed by Interscope Records brass to provide original material to the soundtrack, according to a source.

It would surely seem the end of days if G n' R, once a candidate to appear on the soundtrack to Heavy Metal 2, were to provide new material before the group becomes eligible for the Rock & Roll of Fame. Korn, now in the studio with producer Brendan O'Brien, should be able to provide at least one new song to the album; and recent rumblings have Limp Bizkit returning to the studio again this year to begin work on a new album.

In addition to the known acts being considered, new Interscope signing, Professional Murder Music, likely will contribute a song called "Slow" to the soundtrack.
